Lisa

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.  I know you are making a difficult decision and I wish there was something I could do to ease your emotional burden.  We are two sides of the same coin, both wanting everything good for your child. I can’t imagine the sheer number of questions going through your mind right now, so I’ll try to keep my profile as brief as possible while still giving you a complete picture of my life and what your child’s life would be like in my home. I look forward to learning more about you.  While I would not be opposed to a closed adoption, I would really like it if your child had the opportunity to know you and how much you love him or her, now and in the future.

A little about myself

I am a single woman who is ready to be a mother and would love nothing more than to be able to give your child a happy home.  I don’t have many regrets in life.  I have a good, stable job where I work from home.  My family is close by and we see each other several times a week.  My parents live about 15 minutes away.  I love to cook, so having them over for dinner is one of my favorite weeknight activities.  My brother, sister-in-law, and niece live 7 minutes away.  I love that I can text my sister-in-law and tell her that I want to spend some time with Katherine that afternoon and I already have the car seat in my car so I can get her from daycare.

My Home

In 2013, I moved to Pennsylvania to be with family. I bought a four-bedroom house with a nice-sized back yard. I love to have my family over and grill outside when the weather is nice. I turned the formal living room into an office so I can work from home. Clairy, my dog, took to the new house right away. She was rolling around and playing with her toys the moment they were unpacked!

Hobbies & Activities

Over the years, I have entered many things I crocheted into contests. I am always excited when I see a blue ribbon! While I lived in CT, I was very active with a non-profit group. I even served as the President for a couple of years.

Family

My family was very happy that I moved here. My mom, Barbara, is on the left, my dad, Robert is on the right, and my brother, Kevin, his wife, Andriana, and my niece, Katherine, are on the bottom of the photo. Now that I live so much closer, I can go to more family events with the extended family, too! My sister-in-law and I enjoy our “girl” time whenever my brother has a business trip.

Wildwood/Cape May

My family profile could never be complete without a picture of my grandparents (Bottom photo).  Though they are gone, they could never be forgotten. They started so many of our family traditions, like our annual trip to Wildwood/Cape May.

Holidays

Thanksgiving is a special holiday for my family and we always spend it together at my parents’ cabin in the Poconos.  Anyone who doesn’t think the holidays are fun has never experienced those holidays with a toddler!  My niece has brought so much joy to my life. Months later, I still can’t put away one of my decorations because she looks for it every time she comes to my house.

Thank you, from all of us waiting to be parents, for considering adoption. I wish you peace with your decision during this difficult time.
